SINAL DO VALE

In 2017 I worked at Sinal do Vale, a retreat and education centre striving towards tangible social and environmental change.

My goal there was twofold: quickly redesigning existing publicity materials while also making them easily modifiable and reproducible.

Below are samples of some of the final materials that were delivered: a brochure, a slide presentation and an infographic.

LEARNING JOURNEY BROCHURE

One of Sinal's longest running programs is their "Learning Journey": a multi-day retreat that fosters rich discussions on sustainability by engaging participants from all different kinds of backgrounds.

Information about Sinal's Learning Journey often reaches those interested through informal sharing, like one-on-one emails and passed-down brochures.

Therefore, it is key that the materials being distributed are clear, catchy and concise.

The original Learning Journey brochure was revised so that the pertinent information it provided would be complemented with an equally sharp visual delivery.

Since Sinal's team had no access to software like InDesign or PhotoShop, and requested a product that could be easily modifiable, the brochure's entire new design was created using solely Microsoft Word.

INFORMATIONAL PRESENTATION

Beyond online reach, Sinal often holds information sessions at other institutions, cities and even countries.

These events aim to attract not only potential participants for Sinal's many activities, but also patrons and funders that can help sustain the organization.

For that reason, it is paramount that the visuals accompanying the presentation convey both the enthusiasm surrounding Sinal's

projects and the sobriety of the organization's professionalism.

DATA REPORT INFOGRAPHIC

Infographic

After over half a decade of quality work,

Sinal still had difficulties consolidating all

of its achievements into cogent, presentable data. The organization's feats were many, but very distinct and diffuse, making them hard to compile in conventional report form.

As a solution, the communications team and I decided to create a infographic report. This format not only neatly bands together Sinal's sundry information, but also appeals to an audience wider than that of a formal report - revamped as a flexible, fun and far-reaching informative tool.
